Description
Parachromis motaguensis, the False yellowjacket cichlid, is a species of cichlid native to Guatemala and Honduras in Central America. This species grows to a length of 30 centimetres (12 in) TL. This species is farmed. Recorded from the River Motagua basin in eastern Guatemala and Honduras. To the west its range begins around the River Naranjo in Guatemala, extending southwards through El Salvador and into Honduras as far as the River Choluteca.
