Description
Asia: rivers of Pacific basin from Amur southward to Yangtze drainages; in Korea in Yellow Sea basin; southern Japan (Honshu, Kyushu, Shikoku); in Amur, middle reaches of Amur and Bureya River system downstream to lower reaches, Ussuri River but not present in Khanka Lake basin. Max length: 17.2 cm TL Dorsal spines (total): 3; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-8; Anal spines: 3; Anal soft rays: 7 Inhabits rivers. Predatory fish which feeds on fry, insects and other animal food.
