Description
Sanger Lake was formed by glacial erosion, a process where glaciers erode the land, creating depressions that fill with water. The lake covers an area of about 6 acres. It is home to brook trout, a species often found in cold, clear waters. Visitors to the area can go hiking on trails that offer scenic views of the lake and the surrounding wilderness. There are also opportunities for camping. The lake is part of the Smith River National Recreation Area (NRA), and reaching the lake might require some hiking, so make sure to have the appropriate gear and supplies.
