Description
Western Atlantic: Bermuda and southern Florida, USA to northern Brazil. Also in Bahamas and Caribbean, including Antilles. Max length: 22 cm TL; common length: 16 cm TL Dorsal spines (total): 10; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12. Back crossed by yellow spots and saddles, some of which expand on upper side. Inhabits shallow rocky or coral bottoms with clear water.
