Description
Brownish, belly whitish; a dark blotch on operculum; lateral line dark, with a series of pale spots; a series of dark spots on cheek; dorsal fin dark, without white margin. Western Central Atlantic: Beaufort, North Carolina south along the coast and into the Gulf of Mexico, where it occurs south off Mexico. Max length: 35 cm
