Description
Ericson Lake is approximately 35 acres (0.1 sq km) in size. It was formed by damming Cedar Creek for flood control purposes. On the south end of the lake is the dam. In the area of the dam are various fishing holes that are always producing some of the largest fish caught in the state. Throughout the year, numerous fishing competitions are held on the lake. Species of game fish in the lake include white bass, walleye, crappie, wipers, channel catfish, flathead catfish, striped bass, largemouth bass, northern pike and perch. The lake is best known for the white bass and walleye fishing, yielding hundreds of ’Master Angler’ fish over the years.
