Lake Jack Lee is an artificial lake created by damming the river's course with the Felsenthal Lock and Dam. The lake is located in southern Arkansas (United States), in Ashley, Bradley and Union counties, at the confluence of the Ouachita River and the Saline River. The surface of the lake covers about 15,000 acres. During floods or in winter, when the water level rises, the water can overflow the surrounding swamp forests — then there are more water bodies, which expands the habitat.
